Beginning and Ending Sounds-Isolation

Do your students need practice isolating the initial and final sounds in words?  I just uploaded a set of activities that can help them do so!

Included in the pack are 32 picture cards with either the beginning or ending letter is missing.  Some of the pictures on the cards are duplicated (at one time the initial letter is missing, the next time the final letter is missing).

You can have your students supply the missing sound or for a greater challenge have the students provide the missing letter.

Also included are 3 worksheets for independent practice for the child to write the missing initial, final, or both initial and final letters.

Please do not think I am yelling with all of the capital letters above.  LOL!  I have no idea how that happened and cannot seem to fix it, (and at this point really do not feel like retyping everything)!!  Please forgive me!

  3. I LOVE IT and I am yelling to say how I REALLY LOVE IT! I have used Explode the Code, which is like a 50 year old curriculum for homeschooling and teaching phonics. This is exactly like Explode the Code, which to me is the BEST way to teach phonics to my kiddos so I am jumping for joy over this!!! Nice work!

I really have no idea how the capital letters happened! They weren't like that when I was in draft form! Oh well!
