My district has implemented the program Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) for students in prekindergarten through grade 1. Some of my students still struggle with forming their letters fluently. To provide some extra practice, I created the following documents qto help them form their letters in isolation. According to HWT, you have to start your letters “at the top” so I placed stars to remind the students where to start their letters.

This is wonderful! My school does not have a handwriting program for us... (and I teach KINDERGARTEN!) I'm going to use this with my little ones who are still struggling with writing those letters! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! We use HWT also.
ReplyDeleteHey Mrs. Mc, thanks for your sweet words! Make sure you make a separate comment for each place you follow, so you can have more than one entry! :)

Thanks, I'm always on the lookout for handwriting ideas.
ReplyDeleteI cannot get the pages to download. My school is using HWT this coming year. Thanks, Carol
ReplyDeleteCarol-when you click on the picture it should bring you to my TPT store where you can then purchase and download it. Does that happen for you? I know there have been some glitches with TPT lately. I apologize.
ReplyDelete~ Mrs. Mc
We used HWT 2 years--ugh--hated it. We are back to Zaner Bloser. I do like your star at the top idea.
